Day 7 - Granada
Our tour of the Alhambra started early, so Trever checked out of the hotel while I grabbed us a few pastries.
We staged the picture below but this is pretty much what we looked like, tourists! We took the guided audio tour, which was very slick and definitely worth it.
A look inside the Arab Baths
The weather was absolutely perfect!
Fountains in the courtyard and other amazing details.
There were panoramic views of the city from several locations. It was amazing!
Those are snow capped mountains in the back.
The palace totally blew me away but the gardens were equally amazing! We were there during peak bloom of all the roses and ranunculus. So much color and beauty!
I loved every minute of the tour! The Alhambra may be one of the most beautiful places I have every seen. It was breathtaking! On the walk back to our hotel, a gypsy gave us a sprig of rosemary and then pretended to tell us our fortune. Trever was going to give her a few Euros but she was offended and was grabbing for the 50. Eventually she snatched the 20 and would not give him change. It was crazy and ridiculous but we moved on.
As for the gelato, we found the best place in town and went twice in 24 hours. It was that good!
We took the bus to tiny airport and boarded our plane back to Barcelona. We arrived around 9, repacked our bags and went to bed.
