Tamales Bay & Point Reyes

A few days after Christmas we decided to head for the coast. It had been a long time since my mom  visited Point Reyes, so we decided to make the trip. It was a BEAUTIFUL day, not a could in the sky.  We grabbed sandwiches at a deli in Inverness and packed a lunch for the beach. We started at Tomales Bay, which was a perfect little picnic spot. The kids loved playing on the beach and could have played for several hours. We will definitely come back to this spot again.

Our little ballerina enjoying the sunshine.

The trees had lots of green moss, which gave them a creepy, cool look.

After playing in Tomales Bay, we headed for Point Reyes. We were too late to catch the bus to the lighthouse but we still had fun at the beach while Lizzie and Trever napped in the car. Jane and I had fun taking selfies.

Loved finding this seesaw on the beach

This picture doesn't do it justice but the hills are beautiful in this area.
There are several Tule Elk in and they are so fun to watch.

We found another beach to explore along the coast as the sun went down. It was cold but it was beautiful. I am pretty sure I have said the world beautiful at least 5 times in this post.

This trip never gets old, can't wait to go back and visit again.
