Christmas

On Christmas Eve, Grandma helped the kids reenact the nativity. Everyone was excited about their costumes except Lizzie. Maybe next year she will show more enthusiasm. Drew on the other hand was the perfect baby Jesus.

Lets not forget Isabelle (Jane's American Girl doll). Jane made sure she was included too.

Here they are on Christmas morning, waiting to go downstairs. Jane and Cate were really into Christmas this year. Jane was especially interested in how Santa would get into our house. She payed close attention to the cookie plate and immediately noticed that they had been eaten.

Love the looks on their faces. Cate received a doll house and was very excited.

Ben was checking things out too. Santa brought him a new bike.

My parents gave Jane and Cate matching pjs for their American Girl Dolls. They were thrilled! We now have plenty of American Girl doll clothes because Grandma, Grandpa and Mimi gave them clothes and other accessories as well. Jane is having so much fun dressing up her doll and each night she makes sure to change into her matching pj's with Isabelle. I don't think the excitement of having Isabelle in our home will wear off anytime soon.

In between opening presents we stopped to feast on Andrea's amazing cinnamon bread. It's good that it went quick, because I definitely would have stuffed myself. The rest of the morning was spent playing with toys and opening the remainder of the presents. It was nice to be with family and finally relax from such busy month.  So grateful that we were able to spend Christmas together with the extended Burgon family.
