Christmas Tree Farm

The day after Thanksgiving we set out to get our tree. We decided to go to a Christmas tree farm this year instead of Home Depot or Costco, which have served us well in the past but we wanted to step it up this year. The Christmas tree farm was in Petaluma, so we drove about 30 mins north to get there. It was a foggy, overcast morning but the sun broke through by the time we arrived.

We started out our visit by checking out the animals. Lizzie has a close encounter with the donkey.

The pig Bubbles was the fattest pig I have ever seen (no pun intended).

Crazy turkeys making all kinds of noise.

And then we went on the hunt for our tree.

We also tried to take a family picture. Most of them turned out like this, Trever and I looking and smiling, and the girls not looking at all. Oh well! My mother-in-law has mad skills and is a master with Photoshop. You will see the end product on our Christmas card.

Liz taking a rest on this stump. Love this little girl!

Classic Cate smile, so happy and so expressive. We finally found a pre-cut tree, which may defeat the purpose of our trip but we had a great time. We have one of the biggest, fullest trees I have ever owned. It is now decorated and looks fabulous. Pictures to come with Christmas.
