15 months

Lizzie is now 15 months. In the past three months she has definitely moved from a baby to a toddler. She is now walking all over the place, saying words and understanding most of what we are saying. She has opinions and will make her wishes known. She also follows along with whatever we are doing and knows when it's time to put on her shoes and socks, or brush her teeth. When we get ready to walk out the door, she sits there, holding her shoes and looking for someone to help. Jane will often jump in and help her, which is so helpful to me.

Now that she is walking, she is also climbing on tables, desks, play structures, stairs, etc... We have to watch her closely because she is starting to pick up speed. Lizzie wants to be in the middle of the action and will do whatever it takes to position herself there. She also loves rummaging through the desk and pulling out all of the pens or whatever else she may find. She enjoys scribbling and is eager to climb up to the table and "color" when the big girls are coloring. Toothbrushes are another favorite, although having her teeth brushed is not. She is just tall enough to reach in the bathroom drawers and can often be found sucking on all of our toothbrushes, yuck!

Lizzie loves her sisters and finds such joy watching their faces and expressions. She loves to mimic them and can often be found hanging out wherever they may be playing. She has started to climb all over Cate and can often be found sitting or laying across her body. I am excited to see these two in action as they both get a little older.

Lizzie is still our good eater and will eat almost anything we give her. She is starting to discriminate with some foods but seems to enjoy a variety of things to eat. Her favorites include smoothies of all varieties, cuties, cheese, graham crackers, bananas, and milk. One of her favorite words is nack (snack).

Like her sisters, she is also a HUGE fan of her Dad. One of my favorite things is hearing her yell out, "dada, dada, dada," when Trever arrives home from work. When she is not on the go, she gives great hugs and is very loving and cheerful. We love this sweet girl and look forward to watching her learn and grow even more in the next three months.
