We started the morning like this. Jane was happy and life was good. She was really excited to see this pile of pink presents. She said, "This is wonderful, look at all these beautiful things." She had fun opening her packages and wanted to play with each individual gift. She opened a new comforter from Mimi and said, "Hey guys, a new pillow for me to use when I sleep in your room." I hate to break it to you Jane but you will not be sleeping in our room. Feel free to enjoy that gift in the comfort of your own bed.
Cate, also enjoyed Jane's new toys and immediately made herself comfortable on this new baby bed.
We had pink waffles for breakfast, per her request. I am pretty sure Jane likes pancakes and waffles simply for the syrup and whip cream.
Late that day we had some friends drop by with pink cupcakes, perfect!
Jane had been battling a cold for the past week but I thought she was getting better. A sleepless night just before her birthday, combined with a short nap due to her cough, left this girl exhausted by 6 pm. She seemed to be in good spirits after the cupcake,
so we went to the park to play with friends. After playing, we cleaned up and drove to Pita Inn to meet Trever. Jane loves going to restaurants and Pita Inn is one of her favorites. She pretty much whinned and moaned all the way to dinner and had no interest in eating once we arrive. Here she is at her birthday dinner.
The poor girl was sick and had a fever. She had a fever for the next 48 hours and is still getting over her cough. She is in better spirits but is still not ready to party. In fact, we cancelled her Pinkalicious party and will be rescheduling in for sometime in the next two weeks.
Even though Jane was sick, she did have some fun moments over the weekend. She is especially enjoying this new guitar. Here she is howling like a dog. Love this girl!
