The Merricks

We were lucky to have Katie and Lee in town this weekend. Lee had a conference in Chicago, so Katie decided to come along. Katie and I have know each other for 10+ years, so we have a lot of great memories together. As single ladies, we have been to Hawaii together, gone on various camping trips, and pretty much shared the good and bad times that come with the single years. Just over 5 years ago, we both married some pretty great guys and the fun has continued. It's too bad we don't live closer but maybe someday.

My girls have both met Katie and Lee but it took them a few minutes to become re-aquainted. Once Katie was playing with the new Legos they brought for the girls, and Lee was blowing up large balloons and releasing them in our playroom, they were on board. Cate quickly requested for Lee to hold her and both girls were thrilled to have two additional playmates for the afternoon/evening.
We are so glad that we got to spend time with Katie and Lee, they are some of our favorites. Come back soon!
