Museum of Science and Industry

We finally ventured out of the house yesterday and made our way to the museum. I have been sick for the past week, so we have been spending most of our time at home. Trever had four vacation days to use in January, so luckily we could do something fun on one of the days. The Museum of Science and Industry had free admission yesterday, so we took advantage of the opportunity.

It was a perfect day to go, no crowds, no rush and plenty of time to explore. Jane is still to young to appreciate all that is there but she did enjoy the people watching and the chance to explore a new place.

One of the highlights for Jane was the trains. She was able to get a great view from the top of her dad's shoulders.
She also enjoyed exploring the train and climbing the steps to the entrance. As you can see from this picture, she wasn't interested in holding still for too long.
Another highlight was watching the baby chicks hatch. What an amazing thing to see!
It's sometimes hard to pack all the gear and get out of the house but with such great places nearby, you have to take advantage. It was so great to have Trever home on a Monday and to spend the day together as a family. Next up, The Field Museum.

Such a GREAT museum. We loved the chicks too. Have you checked out the Kohl's Children's Museum? We went just once last summer and Ella loved it.
