Life has been busy around here and I have felt the need to get out and do something "fun". Late this afternoon we decided to pack the kids in the car and go to Chicago to see the Zoo Lights. The Lincoln Park Zoo decorates the entire zoo with lights and it is really amazing. It was a zoo (he he) getting down there but once we found a place to park and had something to eat, we were good to go. Jane got to see the giraffes, some interesting birds, lots of fish and a whole lot of lights. Both girls were tired on the way home and when Cate continued to cry, Jane asked, "What's Cate crying for about?" I get this question from her several times a day. It's funny and yet sometimes it makes me crazy. But I digress, the lights, the zoo, and the company were fabulous! It was definitely worth the trek.
Before we moved to Chicago, I used to worry about how I would keep my kiddos warm in the winter. It's all about these bundle me, sleeping bag, thing-a-ma-jigs. Keeps em' toasty.
There was a train and of course Jane had to ride it.
For $2.50, this girl was happy as a clam to ride in circles.
