New neighbors
We really enjoyed our neighbors at our last apartment and were sad to leave them. Lucky for us, we are surrounded by a lot of really great families in our new neighborhood. They have been really kind and it's fun to know that Jane and baby Burgon will have some playmates. Some of our favorite neighbors live upstairs. They are a family from Korea and will be here for another year and half while the father does research at a local university. The kids are so kind and the LOVE to play with Jane. It's hard to believe that a 6, 9 and 11 year old would take such a liking to a little girl. The oldest girl told me that she wants yellow hair just like Jane. So cute!
On a few occasions we have come home to notes and surprises on our front door. The first week we were here we got these cards:
The details inside are even more amazing. The little girl is quite the artist! We reciprocated with some of Trever's famous chocolate chip cookies. I think they were a hit.
This week we came home to this little note from our friends. They drew a map of our area and sent us on a treasure hunt for Jane. Underneath our new baby pool we found a clapper toy, Jane loved it. She kept saying, "trrrreasure!"
We are so lucky to be surrounded by such great people. Now I need to figure out something creative to do for the kids upstairs.
