Grandparents in town
My mom and Jeff were in town to celebrate Jane's 1st birthday. While we overworked them on her actual birthday, we did manage to have some fun while they were here. We made a quick trip to Chicago to see Millennium Park and took pictures at all the tourist spots, you just have to! We also toured the local streets and finished up with a stop at Garrett popcorn, which is totally addicting.
We also spent time at one of our favorite places, Lighthouse Beach. Jane loved walking in the sand and spending time with her grandparents. I can't wait to go back when all of the leaves are changing.
We had a request from Jeff to go to The Spice House. My mom brought Jeff some spices on her last visit and he was sold. We definitely did some damage in this store and hope to cook up some delicious food in the months to come. After we toured the shops, we hit the park.
Finally, we walked the grounds of the Baha'i Temple. This place is amazing and the grounds are really beautiful. It was a perfect fall day to be outside. Here is Jane, almost ready to walk er run.
