Out with the old and in with the new...
Last year we got engaged over Labor Day weekend, this year we bought a new car. That's right, we drove it off the lot last weekend and have been cruising around in our new ride for the past week. After much deliberation, we decided to buy a Pontiac Vibe. With gas prices that are through the roof and a daily commute to the east bay, we need something that is fuel efficient. And more importantly, we needed something that would fit Trever's surf board.
My dad has been employed with GM for over 25 years, so you can imagine how happy he was when we purchased an American car. Trever is lucky that his charming personality won over my dad, because he was a little skeptical about me dating a guy that drove a Honda. While the Honda has been a great car, all good things must come to an end. The Honda died just before we left for our trip to Washington and Canada, and has been resting in our parking lot of the past six weeks. After taking apart the dash and ignition, Trever was able to revive the car this past week. And while it's hard to say goodbye to this car, it's on it's last leg and is not very reliable. So alas we say goodbye to the Honda and hello to our new Vibe.
