Lizzie turns 4

Lizzie kicked off our birthday season in August and was very excited about turning 4. On the morning of her birthday, Trever made crepes, which is her favorite breakfast food! After the girls were off to school, we spent the day together doing her favorite things - coloring, playing board games and hanging at the park. That evening we celebrated with more of her favorite foods, including her favorite black and white angel food cake.

This year has been a big one for Lizzie. She learned to ride her two-wheel bike and has become quite the little fish in the water. In February there was no way she would stick her head in the water, but after a few weeks of lessons, her confidence soared and she was on her way to becoming a independent swimmer.

Lizzie continues to love art and can often be found coloring at our little table. She wants to know how to draw certain things and will take art lessons from anyone who is willing to teach her. She loves all things creative and made her first ceramic cup on the wheel earlier this year.

Lizzie has the best smile and dimples, and loves to laugh and be silly with her sisters We are constantly amused by her observations and silly comments. She has become quite the ham and especially loves to take center stage during dinner time (much to her mamas chagrin).

A few days after Lizzie's actual birthday we had a party with friends at our local pool. It was the perfect day to be in the water because it was SO hot! Lizzie has a great time swimming with her pals and eating cupcakes (something she insisted on having).

After the party we came back to our house to have dinner and opened presents with family. Lizzie was so excited to open her gifts and I loved watching the excited expressions on her face. We love this sweet girl and are so grateful to her in our family. Lizzie we look forward to watching you learn and grow in the year to come!
