Newport Beach + Cousin Fun

Two weeks after we moved to our new house, we took a road trip to Newport Beach to vacation with the Burgon. The timing was perfect and we were all excited to spend time with family at the beach. Our condo was located across the street from the beach, so the location was perfect. The kids had a fabulous time riding bikes around town, playing in the waves, building sandcastles, exploring local parks, and playing with cousins. Cousins and the beach are two of their favorite things, so they were in heaven!

One day we rode bikes to Balboa Island to get a famous Balboa Bar. The kids did a great job riding their bikes and the ice cream and bananas were the perfect treat! Balboa Island was really beautiful and the homes had so much character. On our way back to the ferry, we stumbled upon a lemonade stand and pretty much cleared out their supplies with our large crew. Ice cream and lemonade kept these kiddos happy for quite some time. Such a fun day!

After a week of fun in Southern California, we met up again at Grandma's house. The kiddos all participated in the summer reading program through Bookshop Santa Cruz, so we took our crew to cash in on their rewards. We enjoyed lunch at Pizza My Heart and had plenty of ice cream at The Penny Ice Creamery. So many fun memories with this crew, can't wait to gather again next year.
