Lizzie - 5 months

It's hard to believe another month has gone by. Lizzie is still our easy going, happy baby and we just love her. She is starting to hold on to her toys and even rolled onto her tummy a few times last week.

She is putting everything in her mouth and quite enjoys chewing on her giraffe, Sophie. If she is like Jane and Cate, she will be getting her bottom teeth any day now. She has drooling quite a bit, so I feel pretty confident her teeth will be here soon. 

The past month has been FREEZING, so we have spent a lot of time indoors. Unfortunately all of our girls have been sick. It started around Christmas time when Lizzie had a 24 hour stomach bug and then again a few weeks ago she caught a cold and had croup. It was our first experience with croup and it was pretty scary. I had to keep reminding myself that she was going to be okay. For several nights we had Lizzie sleep in her bouncer with the humidifier blowing on her to try and help her breathe. Fortunately she is now okay and is sleeping much better.

Lizzie loves to be around her sisters and is especially fond of Jane. Jane can get her to laugh more than anyone in our family. She loves to watch Jane dance and sing, and do all sorts of funny things to entertain. She also enjoys laying under her gym and will even tolerate sitting in her Bumbo for short lengths of time.

In the next month she will experience her first plane ride, first taste of solid food and much more. We love our squishy baby and could kiss her cheeks for days. We look forward to watching her learn and grow in the months to come.
