F O U R
are you four or eight?
And last but not least, our Cate-a-roo turned 4. She had been waiting for her birthday for quite some time and I am happy to say that she had a great day! When a family member asked her about her birthday, she exclaimed, "it was too much fun!"
We started the day with a family breakfast. The menu included her favorites: eggs, cinnamon toast and fruit. She proudly wore this oversized crown for most of the day and had a smile on her face the entire day. Later that morning, we meet up with family and friends at Wheeler Farm in Salt Lake City. The farm has lots of fun activities for the kiddos. They enjoyed ridding the pretend cows, hanging out at the pumpkin patch and feeding the ducks. We had a picnic lunch and cupcakes from the Sweet Tooth Fairy for dessert. They did not disappoint.
Here are a few pictures from our photo shoot that morning. I love this happy face!
Cate can also be serious but not for long.
Cate's a bit sassy but also a big love. She is our biggest lap child and she LOVES snuggles and hugs!
Having "too much fun" on her birthday.
We were so happy to have Grandma Sharp join the party. Cate's middle name is Edith after her Grandma Sharp. We love this sweet lady!
Grandma Burgon was able to join us as well. These women are so amazing and we love them!
Cate it has been so fun to watch you learn and grow over the past year. You started preschool this year and were SO ready to go. You are brave and fearless and hardly ever look back for reassurance. You have learned to swim, swing on the monkey bars, know how to pump on a swing, and you make onlookers gasp as you scale bars and climb on top of slides. It makes me nervous to watch you at times, but I know it's important to let you go. You are truly fearless! You like a challenge and are determined to figure things out on your own. These personality traits will help you accomplish great things!
You are quite observant and your one liners and witty comments keep all of us laughing. You are so silly and your smile fills your entire face when you laugh. I have especially enjoyed hearing you tell knock knock jokes this year.
You are creative and imaginitive and love to do pretend play. You are happy to play on your own but also love to play with others. Making friends comes easy for you and you definitely enjoy being social.
In the past few months you have learned to write your name and are very careful when you write your letters. You love to color and have become quite good staying in the lines. You even drew your first portrait the other day and did a fabulous job!
We love you Cate and look forward to sharing another great year with you! Happy Birthday sweetheart!
